These are absolutely delicious! You will need a pastry bag and a star tip to make them look prettier than the ones you buy at the store. Everyone will be impressed with you talents when you serve these.
1 Cup Butter or Margarine (softened)
1/2 Cup Confectioner's Sugar (sifted)
1-1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
Place the butter in a large mixing bowl and cream with an electric mixer until light and smooth. Add the sugar and mix until well blended. Then gradually add the flour, while stirring, until all is mixed into a stiff dough. Pre-Heat oven to 375º. Place the dough into
a pastry bag with a large star tube tip attached. Pipe stars and bars onto an air bake cookie sheet. Bake in the oven at 375º for 10 minutes, or until light golden brown.
Allow to cool completely before serving or packaging. Serve as they are, or you may
want to put them together in pairs with melted chocolate chips.
Makes about 6 dozen small butter cookies.
